Cheaters Prosper

In my opinion there are two types of Body for Lifers. The first ones do
the program flawlessly or not at all. If they "blow it" for a meal or a few days they get frustrated and quit. Or perhaps
even worse, they start over... and over... and over... They may never actually finish a challenge because they're so
bent on doing it perfectly and so hard on themselves when they fail.
The second type occasionally eats cold pizza for
breakfast, or peanut butter with a spoon. They slip up, they bend rules, they muddle portion sizes, but they keep going
no matter what. They're flexible. They learn from their mistakes, and they keep going, and going, and going like Energizer
Bunnies.
If you ask me, the second group is most likely to lose the weight and keep it off forever. A year from
now, the cheaters who kept at it will be in far better shape than the people who did one perfect 12 week challenge and
stopped. It's better to make BFL a permanent, flexible way of life than to drive yourself nuts for a few weeks and give
up. Or as Raylene used to say, cheat like hell but never quit. :-)
